Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)
Tom Moylan from Ashby Telecom (www.ashbytelecom.com) and a
representative from World Wide Packets (http://worldwidepackets.com)
will start off our meeting with some real world perspectives on FTTH
projects, and offer some affordable approaches. We will ask our
presenters to emphasize realistic cost estimates and financing
approaches using the statistics and maps available on our web site
(http://www.slbc.us).
2.
Comcast
We have had great response rates for the Comcast mail-in survey. As
of
ten days ago, 250-300 households had sent it in. We hope to have some
more up to date information on numbers received, what respondents
said,
and what happens next.
3.
Committee Status
Since we last met, the Leverett Select Board approved our charge and
membership! We are now an official joint town committee. We will briefly
discuss our guidelines for online discussion and appoint a new member.
