Shutesbury - Leverett Broadband Joint Committee Meeting
Minutes of April 18, 2007

Meeting opened at: 7 p.m. at Wendell Town Hall
Members Present: Robert Heller and Robbie Leppzer from Wendell. Weezie Houle from Shutesbury. Rob Brooks from Leverett.

1. Approve Agenda as proposed.
2. Approve minutes as written.
3. Updates from town reps:
   1. Shutesbury – Weezie Houle ­ nothing to report.
   2. Leverett – Rob Brooks – Leverett is a semi-finalist for the PVC Beta test.
   3. Wendell – Robbie Leppzer ­ Robbie Heller got a call from Ben S. He has been talking to various legislators re: broadband $ and related activities. Process is going at a normal state leg. rate.
4. PVC steering committee news – Glenn Cherrits – absent
5. List serve creation: Robbie Heller can do this in 5 minutes. Weezie will work with Robbie to create this. Rob Brooks will find out the laws around closed lists. Put URLs in meeting announcement.
6. Not discussed: Governments not connected: (New Salem, Royalston, Shutesbury Select Board members, and Wendell Select Board members)
7. Not discussed: Bringing new towns into the tri-town (SLW) Committee: Royalston, New Salem, Warwick
8. Committee Resignation – Stephen Bannish has resigned.
9. New business: Pursue a Western Mass Broadband Forum – Invite broadband committees.
1. Robbie Leppzer will contact PCV to get list of applicants & any contact lists they have.
2. Create an email letter to start some discussion.
10. Walk-in visitors: Mary Ellen Kennedy from New Salem.
