Shutesbury - Leverett Broadband Joint Committee Meeting Minutes
December 12, 2006
Meeting opened at: 7 p.m. at Leverett Town Hall
Members Present: Robbert Heller and Robbie Leppzer from Wendell. Weezie (Marie Louise) Houle, Frank Citino, Glenn Cherrits and Howell Lee from Shutesbury and Rob Brooks from Leverett.
Subjects discussed:
- Approve Agenda – unofficially – no quorum
- Approve Minutes –.Approved November summaries.
- Updates from committee members:
- Shutesbury – Weezie Houle – Website updated
- Leverett – Rob Brooks – nothing to report
- Wendell - Robbie Leppzer – nothing to report
- Governmental contacts, plans:
- A contingent will go with Robbie Leppzer to the Duvall Patrick meeting in Springfield to make as many points as possible in favor of state sponsored broadband.
- Publicity - December's Leveret and Shutesbury newsletters shall contain:
- Info for residents to contact the incoming governor's office.
- Stuff regarding the Verizon meeting
- PVC Meeting Report - Glenn Cherrits: rescheduled
- Possible visit from Verizon VP –
- Weezie reported that Bill Solomon contacted her and will get Peter Bowman, VP of Public Affairs to meet with our committee on a date in January. The date needs to be on a different day than usual as Bill cannot come to a Tuesday meeting. The committee put forth three dates as options. Weezie will contact committee members as to a date when she gets one from Bill.
- We will put the dates of Jan 29, 31, Feb. 1 forth as the possible dates for the meeting. We will invite kids, towns people, elected officials, at home business people.

- Walk-in visitors: Ben Schwartz from Wendell, Bill Irvine from Leverett
- Next meeting: Tues, Jan. 16th, 7 p.m. Shutesbury Town Hall
