Shutesbury - Leverett Broadband Joint Committee Meeting
Minutes of July 18, 2007

Meeting opened at: 7 p.m. at Wendell Town Hall
Members Present: Robert Heller Wendell. Weezie Houle and Glenn Cherritts from Shutesbury, and Rob Brooks from Leverett.

  1. No Agaenda was Approved as there was no quorum.
  2. No minutes were approved as there was no quorum.
  3. Updates from town reps:
    1. Shutesbury: Weezie Houle - nothing to report
    2. Leverett: Rob Brooks -
    3. Wendell: Robbie Heller ­ absent
  4. PVC - Steering Committee News – Glenn Cherrits - no meeting lately
  5. In pursuit of a Western Mass Broadband Forum and how to invite other broadband committees to join with us to find solutions:
    1. We were contacted by the Hilltown CDC re: joining a forum to be held on July 28.
  6. Action Items:
    1. Rob & Fred: Draft a letter for the Selectboard to address the 5 College Lorna Peterson, Donna Baron, director of information technology for the Five Colleges
    2. Rob Brooks suggests that someone coordinate Shutesbury residents in the area of the lake with the Lake Wyola Association to form their own petition to Verizon.
